"Isaac and his crews were great. I had water damage from a long slow leak under my sink and decided to get the whole bathroom retiled while the subfloor and studs needed reinforcement. Isaac has a design eye and cares about the quality of his work. He met with me and looked over a ridiculously thorough PowerPoint I made of all the tile combinations I was considering. He wrote up the most professional quote with each part of the process itemized and worked with me to balance what needed to be done with my limited budget. Every day he came to ensure the quality of work his subcontractors were doing. He communicated actively about the stages of the project, always included me in decisions that needed to be made and gave me clear pricing for any surprises that were discovered (old toilet flange was higher than normal, studs needed reinforcement under subfloor, these kinds of things) and was committed to his integrity as a business owner. He's young and ambitious, meticulous and exacting. He was an ally in a weird mixup with the mosaic tile provider who turned out to be a nightmare to work with. I should also mention I'm a queer/trans person and am wary about who I invite into my home and Isaac was nothing but respectful and kind. I ended up paying about 13k for all labor and materials for an entire bathroom remodel down to the bones. I had been quoted 17k-20k for labor/materials by two other companies who both only allowed customers to use those new heinous vinyl tiling systems. I was committed to sticking to the 1952 spirit of the space and hated the idea of the 12x24 plastic flipper-chic tiles in this tiny bathroom, so Isaac not only beat their price but beat their price even including a fairly costly 35$/sf ceramic mosaic tile.
